  • What if I decide to unsubscribe from RiseUp?
    We’ll be sad to see you go, but all you have to do is… 👉 Click on the settings button at the top of your screen 👉 Select "Delete my account and data" 👉 Click "Delete" to confirm RiseUp keeps your personal data only as long as it’s needed to help you with our products and services. It’s deleted once we no longer need it or if you ask for it to be deleted (or leave our service). RiseUp only keeps your personal data when you’re a customer. The second you ask for it to be deleted or you decide to leave our service, we delete it. Keep in mind that deleting your account cannot be undone. However, you can sign up and create a new account, if you decide to come back. And as always if you have any questions or need help you can write to us in the chat. 🙂
  • Who can see my data?
    By policy, company employees, who each undergo thorough background checks before joining, don't have access to your personal details. We operate security and access controls monitoring sensitive information and adhere to strict protocols regarding data access, continuously enhancing our safety measures.   • Do you have access to my account details?
    RiseUp never accesses or stores your bank account details. Using TrueLayer, a leading open banking provider, we get a read-only view of your transactions. This helps us serve you better while keeping your data safe. TrueLayer also uses strong security methods to make sure your information is well-protected.
  • Who is TrueLayer?
    TrueLayer is a top global open banking platform that securely connects apps like ours to banks. It’s authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an Account Information Service Provider (AISP), meaning that it gives us read-only access to customers’ bank data after they give us permission. When you add an account to our app, TrueLayer shows you exactly what access we're asking for and that’s to be able to look at, but not to touch, your bank information. You can also check out TrueLayer's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy during this step for peace of mind.
  • How does RiseUp communicate with me?
    💬 We’ll mainly get in touch with you through the chat in the RiseUp app. 🪀You’ll get automated messages on WhatsApp to let you know you’ve got a message waiting for you in the app and weekly cashflow updates. 📩 If we ever reach out by email it will be from an @letsriseup email address. Remember, wherever we do get in touch with you, we'll never ask for your card or login info. And if you share screenshots, hide any personal info. You can reach us anytime in the RiseUp app or email us at for any questions or concerns.
  • Why do you need my phone number?
    We use your phone number to send one-time passwords, which are unique codes that ensure secure access to our app each time you log in. This added layer of security means only you can access your account. This is one part of our two-step verification that helps maintain the safety of your account and data. We also send updates via WhatsApp.
  • Is my data safe with RiseUp?
    Data protection is our top priority. We are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and work in compliance with the UK's Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) We use several, bank-grade technologies to encrypt customer data and keep it secure: • Built-in database encryption • Up-to-date TLS Internet communication encryption • Applicative encryption with Key Management Service (KMS) • Standard AES 256 encryption Customer data is stored on Amazon Web Servers with the highest protection of data and systems in the market.   • What happens to my data?
    We collect certain personal details to deliver our service effectively, such as providing you with a clear monthly cash flow and valuable financial tips. Your data is sacred to us. Under no circumstances will we ever sell it or share it with any third party without your explicit consent. Our partners, if involved, uphold the same standards of data protection as we do.
  • Why does RiseUp need access to my account data?
    So we can build your Money View 🙂 In order to give you confidence in your finances and a greater feeling of financial wellbeing, we build you one simple view of all your accounts in one place. We make it easy for you to manage your money, save more and stress less. For this to work seamlessly, we retrieve your transaction details via TrueLayer, a world leader in financial aggregation. All you have to do is connect all your accounts to the app. Don’t worry though, our access is strictly "look but don't touch".
  • How is the session delivered? Can we do it remotely?
    The session is optimized to provide a dynamic and energetic face-to-face experience in your office or working space with a very simple set up. Participants can also join via zoom in case they work remotely but the experience and engagement will be limited. We highly recommend making it a full IRL experience if possible.
  • Does my team size matter?
    The more the merrier! The sessions are designed for groups of up to 15 - 40 participants. The higher the number of attendants, the bigger the number of insights and opportunities we will uncover together! In larger sites we can have more than one workshop, and we’ll work with your team to define the best setup for you.
  • What is the workshop about?
    It is all about helping people figure out the complex relationship we all have with money, and stay positive through these uncertain times. It may sound obvious, but it's not an easy thing to do. We’ve been running these across great companies in London, as a way to offer employees and teams an introduction to the Financial Wellbeing know-how while having a fun and engaging experience.
  • Who is this session relevant to?
    The topics covered are relevant for most people, with the biggest value to employees with young families, rising talent or team members early in their career.
  • How long does the session last?
    The workshop is built to last around 60 minutes, but we’ve had sessions extend up to 1.5 hours, it will depend on the group’s excitement and the opportunities they discover together, that’s the beauty of it! Also it can take place at anytime of the day, be it over after work drinks or a morning break during a busy work day, we will fit it around your timetable and your team’s culture.
  • What happens after the workshop?
    The workshops are a stand-alone experience that will enable your team to reframe the way they think about money and help them uncover valuable opportunities to improve their financial confidence. However, we believe (and know for a fact) that behavioral change is hard to achieve alone. That's why we also offer extended individual support through our product and community. Additionally, we provide an employer solution to include our product as part of your employee rewards and benefits pack.
  • Who runs the session?
    The Switch Workshop is delivered by our expert facilitators: All of them are seasoned professionals with 10+ years of experience working with traditional and cutting edge financial institutions and products, who have deep understanding of both your team’s needs and struggles, and the importance of tackling those to strengthen your relationship with them.
